Renee was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1981.  She graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in 2003.  In 2006, she obtained her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where she was honored with the H.O.P.E. (“Helping Others through Pro Bono Efforts”) Recognition Award for her dedication to the South Florida community.  During her final year at the University of Miami School of Law, Renee worked as a certified legal intern for Legal Services of Greater Miami in the Family and Education Unit, where she represented clients on legal issues, including divorce, child custody, and domestic violence.  Renee was a summer associate with a large New York-based firm before returning to Miami and joining the firm as an associate after her admission to the Florida Bar in 2006.
