| Ana was born in
Havana, Cuba in 1958. She graduated from the University of
Miami with a B.A. in Economics, with honors, in 1979 and an
M.B.A, also with honors, in 1981. After working in the banking
field for a number of years in the commercial and international
sectors, Ana returned to school and obtained her J.D., with
honors, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1987,
where she was awarded the Order of the Coif. While at law
school, she interned with the Hon. William M. Hoeveller, United
States District Judge, U.S. District Court for the Southern
District of Florida.
She was admitted to the bar in Florida in
1987 and commenced her practice with the Miami firm of Murai
Wald Biondo & Moreno, P.A., where she concentrated her
practice in the representation of banking institutions in
the acquisition of other institutions, and in lending and
regulatory matters, as well the representation of domestic
and international clients in corporate and real estate transactions.
In 1997 Ana joined Aballí, Milne,
Kalil & Escagedo, P.A., where her practice involves the
drafting of a wide variety of domestic and international commercial
contracts, the negotiation of corporate mergers and acquisitions,
the organization and maintenance of business organizations,
the acquisition and disposition of real property, banking
law and regulatory work, and commercial and real estate financing.
Ana is a member of the Florida Bar; the United
States District Court for the Southern District of Florida
and the American Bar Association. She is deeply involved in
the life of our local community, presently serves as a director
of the Continental Bank of Miami and has served, variously,
on the Miami-Dade County Boundaries Committee, the Code-Enforcement
Board of the City of Coral Gables, and the boards of children's
organizations such the Junior League of Miami and Centro Mater.
Ana is fluent in Spanish and has earned Martindale-Hubbell's
